WSRC run lots of fun events, training clinics and competitions through out the year for all of our members. These are booked online via 'My Riding Life'. To access bookings, please see the 'My Riding Life' link below. We welcome non-members to our 'Open' friendly shows such as our Easter Open Dressage competition at Merrist Wood and our Summer open shows. Instructional training and clinics are for members only. If you would like to participate in any of our training events we would love for you to join our riding club at only £ per month..

WSRC run lots of fun clinics and training opportunities across all disciplines suitable to all abilities. We are very lucky to have lots of passionate instructors and coaches who are dedicated to supporting our members and their horses develop and progress whilst also having fun. These training opportunities are booked online via 'My Riding Life'. To access bookings, please see the MRL list above of our most recent training and social opportunities. Please make sure you have renewed your membership before booking.
Bookings are made online via MyRidingLife (see the list above)). Payment is required at the time of booking. We regret that we cannot issue refunds unless a doctor’s note or vet’s certificate is provided. If you are unable to attend your booked instruction, you are welcome to find a replacement (as long as it’s a WSRC member and at an appropriate level for the instruction) and organise reimbursement between yourselves. We recommend using the WSRC Facebook group for this.

Meet our WSRC Instructors
Ali Cookson BHSI
Ali Evented up to advanced level before specialising in Dressage and trained and competed her own and clients horses up to PSG and intermediate 1. She was Director and Senior Instructor of TTT (Training the Teachers of Tomorrow Trust). Ali now gives regular clinics in the SOuth East and at her home at East Whipley Farm. SHe enjoys working with riders of all levels who are keen to learn. Email: [email protected] |
Catriona Moorwood
Catriona use to event up to 4* as well as competing in three day events and BD Dressage up to Advanced Medium. She has a huge wealth of experience and years of teaching. Cstriona focuses her teaching on flat work and classical riding. Catriona teaches our riding club members and is also available for private lessons. Sarah Jane Hornsby
Sarah has been around horses all of her life. She has had a successful career running racing and livery yards, training racehorses, carriage driving and showing various horse breeds. She has competed at Royal Windsor Horse show and at a high level in carriage driving. Sarah specialises in teaching both horse and rider in flat work - developing confidence and ability in abundance. She has a real passion for all equine disciplines and has a rare ability to be able to explain the most complex of moves in a simple, down to earth way. Her clients range from those just starting out on flat work to those competing at Elementary level. Sarah lives and teaches locally in and around Guildford and runs a small livery yard and farm in Shalford. She is also now an expert in rare breed sheep! Sarah has run clinics for West Surrey for many years and enjoys working with horses and riders of all abilities. Fiona Kashel
Fiona is a professional three day eventer who produces and rides horses up to advanced level. She have been ranked in the top 100 riders in the country for the past 5 consecutive years. In 2018 she was chosen to represent Great Britain in the Nations Cup in France. In Addition she runs a livery yard. Fiona enjoys teaching at all levels and get a lot of satisfaction from watching her pupils succeed and achieve their goals whether it be having the confidence to canter out hacking or gain rosettes. phone: 07841 200079 email: [email protected] |
