Could You?

...spare a little time to help with organising the riding club instruction programme? At the moment Carys Jones organises the instruction and Karin Franklin takes the associated bookings and takes the money.

Carys and Karin are taking a break from the organising and need someone who can spare some time every now and then to arrange and manage the instruction programme. Carys will give a full handover and will still be around to sound ideas out with etc.

If you are interested, here's a little more about what's involved. You'd be responsible for:

• setting instruction dates, in liaison with other club members (e.g.: those running the dressage series, those running the various shows...)
• coming up with ideas for instruction
• liaising with instructors to set up sessions, finalise attendee details in the week before each session etc
• finding new instructors
• thinking up ideas for evening talks/practical demos etc.
• liaising with venues - in setting dates and nearer the events, to confirm arrangements/numbers
• attending events to ensure they run smoothly
• finalising the details of each session in the week running up the particular session
• taking the bookings
• banking the payments.
